WHO WE ARE

The Heritage Cemeteries Project Inc., created in 2004, is a non-profit charitable organization serving the rural municipalities of Churchbridge and Langenburg in Saskatchewan, Canada.  It is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors to facilitate the maintenance, preservation, and restoration of the heritage cemeteries through collaboration with the region's churches and interested individuals.

The work of Heritage Cemeteries Project Inc. includes creating a written history, encouraging visits and tours, cutting grass, maintaining fences, caring for the trees, and straightening and repairing neglected gravestones.  The Heritage Cemeteries Project Inc. hopes to encourage interest in the local history of the heritage cemeteries.

The organization will accept donations to offer assistance to the heritage cemeteries, regardless of religious denomination.  The history was compiled by Lloyd Werle, former Chairman of the Heritage Cemeteries Project Inc.
